| depends on how much score you get in the shortest time possible. If you die frequently, then you won't have the chance to get score as often, thus whoever can survive longer and kill more people (easiest way to get xp) can get more rating. However, if you just stay inactive, you'll lose rating. Your rank moves once every day (depending on your rating at the end of the day).
I'm 384 at the beginning of today (because i was chatting too much in game yesterday... resulting in a low points per minute), i went from 303 yesterday.
